Interim Trade Partnership Agreement between Ghana and the United Kingdom

Introduction

HAVING REGARD to the Stepping Stone Economic Partnership Agreement between Ghana, of the one part, and the European Community and its Member States, of the other part, signed in Brussels on 28 July 2016 (the “EU-Ghana Free Trade Agreement”).


The objectives of this Agreement are: 
  1. (a) to establish an economic and trade partnership which contributes to sustained economic growth that creates employment, the reduction and eventual eradication of poverty, elevated living standards, increased employment, a diversified economy and increases in real income and output in a way that is compatible with the needs of Ghana while taking account of the Parties’ different levels of economic development
