Geographical Indications Act, 2003 (Act 659)

Section 18: The Registrar shall, on the Registrar's own motion or at the request of an interested party, refuse or cancel the registration of a trademark which contains or consists of a geographical indication with respect to goods not originating in the territory indicated, if the use of the indication in the trademark for the goods in the country is of such a nature as to mislead the public as to the true place of origin.
