HEALTH PROFESSIONS REGULATORY BODIES ACT, 2013 (ACT 857)
Section 44:
(1) A person who is otherwise qualified but not registered as a medical or dental practitioner or physician assistant may, with the authorisation of the Minister under an emergency carry out medical or dental procedures.
(2) A person who acts contrary to subsection (1) commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of not more than five hundred penalty units or to a term of imprisonment of not more than two years or to both.
