Free Zone (Exclusion and Concession) Regulations, 2007 (L.I. 1834)
Regulation 3 -Vehicles specified in the Third Schedule which are not exclusively utilised for the business operations of an enterprise, developer or sub-contractor are exempt as imports under section 22 (1) of the Free Zone Act 1995, (Act 504)
Procedure to Follow
Present an application letter and an invoice from the Supplier of the vehicle to GFZB for approval
When approved, you purchase Form 9D from the GFZA Secretariat
1.Vehicles up to 2000cc (Eg. Forklift, Trailer etc.) - US$200.00
2. Pick-Ups, Trucks and Mini Buses - US$1,500.00
3. 4x4 Vehicles -US$3,000.00
4. Registration of Vehicle fee -US$600.00
NB. There is no more exemptions for Salon Cars
5. The form should be filled clearly indicating the type of vehicle and chassis number
6. Present duly filled form with necessary supporting documents to the GFZA Secretariat for endorsement
7. Present endorsed form to Customs at entry point
