Insurance Regulations, 1990 (LI 1502)
Regulation 28: Insurance Advertisements and Sales Promotion Practices. Any insurer or insurance intermediary or person who by any statement, promise, or forecast which he knows to be misleading, false or deceptive, or by any dishonest concealment of material facts or by any negligent act, induces or attempts to induce another person to enter into any contract of insurance with an insurance company or an insurance intermediary to the detriment of the insured, shall be guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding ¢100,000.00 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months.
