Railways Act, 2008
Section 46: (1) The Authority may, grant approval to construct a railway Iine if it considers that the location of the railway line is reasonable, taking into consideration the requirements for railway operations and service the interests of the localities and persons that may be affected by the line or its construction. (2) An approval for the construction of a railway line across the railway line of another railway company shall be subject to the provisions on railway, road and utility crossings in sections 52 to 54.
